She was described in The Economist as "the world’s most acclaimed soprano".[3] The Financial Times said "Ermonela Jaho throws heart and soul into her singing... Don't even try to resist".[4]

Heard her sing in the Barbican with Johnny and Lucy and then again at the ROH, singing Violetta in La Traviata

Sala’s awards include Second Prize in the Queen Sonja Competition (2017) and the AsLiCo Competition (2014).

Tenor

Born in Lecco, Italy, tenor Giovanni Sala studied at the Giuseppe Verdi Conservatory in Como with Fiorenza Cedolins and later at the Accademia Teatro alla Scala in Milan, with Luciana d’Intino and Marcelo Álvarez.
